Welcome to the Becoming Slovenian project!
What began as an experiment in Ljubljana’s KAPSULA gallery in 2010 continues to develop into a poetic ethnography, a series of live exchanges between ‘artist’ and ‘viewer’ as fellow global citizens, reflecting on how our sense of self is influenced by our physical, political and psychological place in the world.
Join me, Shoshanna Utchenik, and curator Mojca Grmek, here or in the flesh, as we travel throughout Slovenia in 2012 to gather subjective, unquantified, immeasurable data about the human condition, and digest it into a hybrid artist book slated to self-publish late 2013.
